The Diocese of Orange Catholic Committee on Scouting will host its annual Way to the Cross Hike on Saturday, March 21, at the Santiago Event Center where the passion of Christ is recreated on a short hike to each Station of the Cross. Scouts of all faiths are invited to attend. Each station is visited and participants share in associated prayers and discussions.
Where: Santiago Event Center, 27912 Baker Canyon Road, Silverado. Meet in the parking area of the facility (please arrive prior to 9:00 am; waiver forms need to be filled out). The hike will begin at 9:00 am and concludes around 10:30 am.
What to Wear: Class B uniform and sturdy hiking shoes. Bring a water bottle. Scouts are encouraged to attend with their family or as a unit. This is not a drop-off event. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged. For questions and to RSVP, contact Bernie Kilcoyne at berniepk@earthlink.net.
