Canyons District has a Key 3 Committee and Chairs that fill the many responsibilities in which they pass information down to your Unit Leaders. This starts with having Scouters serve as Members-At-Large on the District Committee.
Our Nominating Committee is doing a call out for any interested leaders that would like to help shape the future of Scouting in the Canyons District! You can nominate yourself or someone you know in your Unit. This is great way to understand the district better, have an opportunity to influence decision making and be recognized for your hard work. Canyons District Members-at-large Nominating Form
The Nominating Committee will be meeting over the next three months. We want all nominations submitted by Monday, January 5th. That week we will be putting together our slate which will be approved by the 2025 Charter Organization Representatives and Members-At-Large. This approval and election will take place at the District Annual Meeting held on Thursday, January 29 at 6 p.m. before the District Dinner. You do not have to attend the dinner unless you would like to celebrate those receiving awards at the dinner. The slate being approved at that meeting will be for the Canyons District Chair, Vice Chairs and Members-At-Large. All district approvals then will have their names submitted for Council approval at the Council Annual Meeting on Thursday, February 12 at 7 p.m.
