DESCRIPTION:Part 1 – Outdoor Classroom\n\n\nIrvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center \n\n\n2/27/26 (6pm – 9pm) & 2/28/26 (7am – 5pm) \n\n\nOutdoor classroom training will be conducted at the IRVINE RANCH OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTER\, 2 Irvine Park Road\, Irvine\, CA 92869\, and consists of demonstrations and equipment and implementing “High Adventure” into your unit\, round robins covering backpacks\, tents\, clothing\, footwear\, sleeping systems\, stoves and cook gear\, wilderness electronics\, backpack cooking and food\, water treatment\, map and compass\, critter encounters and food protection\, planning a backpack with Scouts including adult leadership \n\n\nPart 2 – Day Hike with Instructors\n\n\nVarious locations across Southern California \n\n\n3/1/26 \n\n\nThe day hike will include map and compass fieldwork. \n\n\nPart 3 – Weekend Overnight with Instructors\n\n\nVarious locations across Southern California \n\n\nDates throughout March and April TBD \n\n\nPractical application of the skills learned in class out in the field.
